Lonagang's 1st five-star hotel approved

     Century Kingdom Hotel in Longgang District yesterday unveiled a plaque declaring it a five-star hotel.

       The hotel ,which began operation Sept.13,2006,was approved as a five-star hotel by the National Star-rated Hotel Assessment Committee on July 20,making it Longgang's first five-star hotel.

         Ling Guoqiang, chairman of the hotel's board of directors, said at the ceremony that the hotel can better serve the 26th Universiade to be held in Shenzhen in 2011 after its facilities and services are upgraded.

          The rating is an important event in Longgang's tourism development, filling a void in the district's hotel industry ,according to the Longgang District Tourism Bureau.

          Zhang Bei,head of the Longgang District  Government,, awarded the hotel a check of 20 million yuan (US.$2.9 million)as a bonus during the ceremony,the highest reward to a hotel in the city.

         Century Kingdom Hotel, as the lead in Longgang's service industry and managed by HongKong King Kylin International Hotel management Co.Ltd., hoted the 18th Miss Model of the World , events of the China(Shenzhen) International Cultural Industry Fair and other important international meetings.
